Nitrile, vinyl or latex?
Nitrile gloves are the most versatile choice. They're latex-free, puncture-resistant and chemical-resistant, so they suit healthcare, hair colouring, tattooing, mechanics and food handling. Black nitrile hides stains, which makes it popular in salons and garages. Blue nitrile is the standard for food and medical use.
Vinyl gloves are a lower-cost, latex-free option for short, low-risk tasks such as food service, cleaning and shampooing.
Latex gloves give the closest fit and best touch sensitivity, but can cause allergic reactions. Choose nitrile where staff or clients may be sensitive.
Who uses our disposable gloves?
We supply single-use gloves to care settings, dental practices, hairdressers, beauty salons, nail technicians, tattoo studios, caterers, mechanics, cleaners and households. For hairdressing, the HSE recommends powder-free, non-latex gloves with a longer cuff. Our Skytec TX630 longer-cuff black nitrile gloves match that guidance.
Features to look for
Powder-free gloves reduce skin irritation and are the standard choice for food and healthcare. Textured or diamond-grip fingertips help with wet or oily work, and extended cuffs protect the wrist from splashes. Thicker gloves last longer for chemical and mechanical work, while thinner gloves give better dexterity.
