Gauntlet Gloves

Gauntlet gloves are designed to provide extended protection for the hands, wrists and forearms. They are commonly used for tasks where there is a risk from liquids, chemicals, abrasion, cold conditions or other workplace hazards.

Depending on the level and type of protection required, gauntlet gloves can be suitable for applications such as chemical handling, industrial cleaning, pond and drain work, agriculture, commercial fishing, cold storage and general industrial work. Always check the individual product specifications to make sure the gloves are suitable for the task and working environment.

Gauntlet gloves have an extended cuff that covers more of the wrist and forearm than standard work gloves, providing additional protection in tasks where there may be exposure to liquids, chemicals, dirt, abrasion or other workplace hazards.

Standard work gloves usually focus mainly on protecting the hands, while gauntlet gloves are designed for situations where extra coverage is needed. Some styles, such as the SHOWA 772, feature an extra-long 65 cm cuff for extended protection further up the arm.
